Welcome to Week 98 of Mmm Mondays, where we turn Monday woes into Monday whoas!
Header image for Week 98 provided by MrsK
This image was taken a couple years ago as Mister K and I celebrated my birthday at the beginning of lockdown. This began a yearly tradition of erotic birthday photos, which has been a fun adventure. My birthday is not in November, it’s in April, but I shared this image for Week 98 because this week will mark Mister K’s birthday. He’s not a big celebrator, believing it’s “just another day.” But it’s his day, and we each deserve to celebrate the one day that is ours. I’d post his picture, but he’s a bit shy. Oh, well, Happy Birthday anyway!
Last Week’s Links
Last week had 6 delightful posts.
Marie began the week with the Pumpkin Patch. This story has a few good lessons. But the one I like best is the old often see the reflection of their youth when looking in the mirror. Be kind 🙂
Next, she made us laugh, and perhaps cry with Trains and Yellow Shirts– Oh. This is so…. mean, humorous, terrible, clever. All of the above. But it’s the ending that will get you.
Then May gave us a grand finale for Gen’s grand story, with So, That’s How I met your Father, Part 14 of a flash fiction series. Just go read it. May I recommend you start at the beginning?
Posy really set the scene with Cleaner Close Part 7. This tale may not appeal to everyone, but it’s filled with masterful visuals and spicy banter. A must read for those who’ll try anything once.
Steeled Snake and Charmer teased us all with Tease, A stunning image of Snake’s cage ending a month of Locktober. May I say again how wonderful this couple’s images are?
And last, but never least, Barefoot finished us off with an enlightening product review for the Zeus Electro Plug. If you’ve not read a review from Barefoot, I highly recommend you do. She has a gift for explaining the unexplainable.
You can read all those Mmm’s and more here.
Mmm Makers
November’s highlighted Mmm Maker spot belongs to Samantha and Mike of Marriage Sex and More. With a blog, an Only Fans page and active engagement on twitter, this couple is sure to make you say Mmm too!

Tantalizing Tales
His Fiancé Came Home but I Wasn’t About to Stop by J.D. Masterly
He begged me to untie him when he heard the garage door opening. No way would I let this bastard get away with cheating on my best friend…
This is a tale of revenge, plain and simple, but I think that’s what makes it so sexy. There’s a reason for the old saying, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” (Which is actually a misquotation, but it’s been used so much we accept it).
With vivid descriptions and saucy dialogue, this tale of erotic debauchery concludes with a tantalizing twist. (TW: contains themes of adultery, cheating, and sexual manipulation).
You can subscribe to Tantalizing Tales here. Don’t have a medium account? For $5 a month you can read every and all medium stories (in every genre). Use this link to help an aspiring writer.

The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean
The Book Eaters is a work of Fiction, but also falls into horror, fantasy, gothic and LGBT. So basically, it’s for everyone. Good Reads describe The Book Eaters like this:
“Out on the Yorkshire Moors lives a secret line of people for whom books are food, and who retain all of a book’s content after eating it. To them, spy novels are a peppery snack; romance novels are sweet and delicious. Eating a map can help them remember destinations, and children, when they misbehave, are forced to eat dry, musty pages from dictionaries.
Devon is part of The Family, an old and reclusive clan of book eaters. Her brothers grow up feasting on stories of valor and adventure, and Devon—like all other book eater women—is raised on a carefully curated diet of fairytales and cautionary stories.
But real life doesn’t always come with happy endings, as Devon learns when her son is born with a rare and darker kind of hunger—not for books, but for human minds.”
My full synopsis will be out at the end of November. If anyone would like to read a long with me, let me know!
Week 98 Recipe
I’ve posted a recipe for Vanilla birthday cake before. But being Mister K’s birthday, I thought I’d share his favourite birthday cake. As a guy who loves sweets but is conscientious about what goes into his body, this recipe is a well a balanced mixture of fruits, seeds, nut flour, and sweetness for a delicious, and yet nutritious, everyday cake. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too!
Raspberry Lemon Poppy Seed Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 –1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp organic cane sugar divided
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp pure almond extract optional
- zest of one lemon ¹
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice about 1 medium juicy lemon
- 1 Tbsp poppy seeds
- 3/4 pint fresh raspberries plus more for garnish/serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line a 9-inch round cake pan² with a circle of parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper and sides of the pan with butter or nonstick baking spray. Set aside.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until fully combined. Add the olive oil and 1/2 cup sugar, and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is fully emulsified. Stir in the vanilla and almond extract, if using, followed by the lemon zest and juice.
- Gently but purposefully fold the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined, being careful not to over mix. Stir in the poppy seeds.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula. Gently tap the pan against the counter a few times to eliminate air bubbles. Top with the raspberries and sprinkle with the remaining 1 Tbsp sugar.
- Bake until the cake is golden and a tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 25-30 minutes. Transfer the pan to a baking rack and let cool completely.
- Once cool, run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the cake, then carefully flip upside down to remove the cake from the pan. You may need to tap the bottom a few times.
- Serve with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar. Enjoy!
