Welcome to Week 99 of Mmm Mondays, where we turn Monday woes into Monday Whoas!

This week’s image reminds me a of a story I wrote. I love the classic feel of black lingerie combined with a classic piano. It’s as if they belong together, bare bottom and all.

Last Week’s Links

Last week had 5 scrumptious posts!

Marie began our week by Satisfying the Hunger. And oh! What a spooky tale! You can sense the antagonist’s wickedness, but who would have guessed the outcome? Certainly, not me.

She followed that with In Death We Find Redemption. I hope we all find our redemption. May it be at an old age, in our beds, without regret.

Next, Posy delighted us with A discussion on Taking a Spanking, where her and Marie discuss what works, what doesn’t, and why does that hurt so much? A very informative post for newbies and lifers alike.

Then, Snake and Charmer shared A Mirror Image, where Charmer becomes a Lady in Red. Looking lovely as always!

And to finish off a great week, we had a new contributor! F. Dot Leonora who blessed us with Nirvana. A wonderful tale about birthday wishes and how being a good girl can make them come true.

You can read all those Mmm’s and more here.

Mmm Maker

November’s Mmm Maker spotlight belongs to Mike and Samantha of Marriage Sex and More. You can find them on their blog, on Only Fans and on Twitter. I recommend all three!

Week 99 Recommended Reads

Tantalizing Tales

It was such a great week on Tantalizing Tales. In the past, I’ve usually chosen a story that is quite erotic in nature (sorry, not sorry). This week’s pick does contain some erotica as needed, but this tale contains so much more.

Arujan Ascendant – Darklaw Saga #12 by Teresa Wymore

God’s Can’t Hide.

This is Part 12 of a fantasy series located in the world of Darklaw. Teresa has created this world, the story, the art, and everything in between. I am not usually a fan of Fantasy- referring the world of reality and focusing on how I can change that to my benefit, but Teresa does a magnificent job of bringing this story together, creating incredible (and often sexy) visuals, and delighting with lively dialogue.

This epic fantasy is perfect for those who like to dive into dark fantastical worlds, are fans of LGBTQ work and dynamics, or simply want to spend an afternoon in a new place and time. Start at the beginning! You won’t be disappointed. Teresa has even included pictures and diagrams to help you along the way.

Tantalizing Tales – Creating fiction to beguile and awaken your imagination.

Tantalizing Tales are looking to publish all different types of beguiling fiction by new or experienced writers. If you write your own Tantalizing Tales and would like to publish them with us, please email talestantalizing@gmail.com or DM us at @TaleTantalizing on Twitter.

The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean

November recommended Read
image found on goodreads

The Book Eaters is a work of Fiction, but also falls into horror, fantasy, gothic and LGBT. So basically, it’s for everyone. Good Reads describe The Book Eaters like this:

“Out on the Yorkshire Moors lives a secret line of people for whom books are food, and who retain all of a book’s content after eating it. To them, spy novels are a peppery snack; romance novels are sweet and delicious. Eating a map can help them remember destinations, and children, when they misbehave, are forced to eat dry, musty pages from dictionaries.

Devon is part of The Family, an old and reclusive clan of book eaters. Her brothers grow up feasting on stories of valor and adventure, and Devon—like all other book eater women—is raised on a carefully curated diet of fairytales and cautionary stories.

But real life doesn’t always come with happy endings, as Devon learns when her son is born with a rare and darker kind of hunger—not for books, but for human minds.”

My full synopsis will be out at the end of November. If anyone would like to read a long with me, let me know!

Week 99 Recipe

Such a classic weekly image deserves a classic recipe. This French Onion Soup is by far the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried a lot. Using traditional methods of combining flavours, this French Onion soup is great on a cold day, or anytime.

Equipment

  • dutch oven (or double broiler)
  • baking sheet
  • oven safe bowls or ramekins

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 cups thinly sliced onions about 3 pounds
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup port wine
  • 2 cartons 32 ounces each beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 slices French bread baguette 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 large garlic cloves peeled and halved
  • 3/4 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese

Instructions

  • In a Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons oil and butter over medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir until softened, 10-13 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring occasionally, until deep golden brown, 30-40 minutes. Add minced garlic; cook 2 minutes longer.
  • Stir in wine. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by half. Add broth, pepper and salt; return to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°. Place baguette slices on a baking sheet; brush both sides with remaining 3 tablespoons oil. Bake until toasted, 3-5 minutes on each side. Rub toasts with halved garlic.
  • To serve, place twelve 8-oz. broiler-safe bowls or ramekins on baking sheets; place 2 toasts in each. Ladle with soup; top with cheese. Broil 4 in. from heat until cheese is melted.

Notes

Three-Cheese Onion Soup: Omit oil. Arrange bread slices on an ungreased baking sheet. Combine Gruyere and 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle over bread. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Ladle soup into serving bowls; top each with two pieces of toast. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.
