Jingle Juice

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • punch bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberry and pomegranate juice
  • 1 tbsp castor sugar (icing or berry sugar will work well too!)
  • 1/3 cup orange liquor
  • 750 ml sparkling white wine chilled
  • 8 cups ice cubes
  • 1 small orange cut into thin slices
  • 2/3 cup frozen pomegranate seeds OR cranberries fell free to use both
  • fresh mint to serve

Instructions

  • Place juice and sugar in saucepan and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Set aside and let cool completely (I pour it over whisky stones to save time)
  • In punch bowl, combine juice mixture, liqueur and wine. Stir together.
  • Place ice cubes in bowl (again whisky stone work well to keep cold without watering down), then add seeds, berries and orange slices. Place mint leave on top to garnish.
  • enjoy!

Notes

For a kid-friendly version, use orange juice in place of liqueur, and sparkling juice in place of wine.
