Week 68 Recommended Read
April’s Fool – C.A. Zon
April’s Fool is a ghost story of Erotic proportions. Even though her untimely death stops April from experiencing true love, she’s just too stubborn to let kicking the bucket get in her way. When she meets Jack, she’ll do what it takes to complete her life’s mission, even if it means doing things she’d never thought of in life.
This story has a unique story line, a fun and lively (bad word choice?) main character and sizzling sex scenes. Not for the faint of heart, this ghost story is a must read for all Dark Erotica lovers.
Week 68 Recipe
Ginger Glazed Carrots
It’s my opinion that the side dishes should be just as flavorful as the main dish. This side dish is sure to add some zip to your Easter dinner (or any other). Variety is the spice of life, after all!
Ginger Glazed Carrots
Equipment
- oven safe saute pan
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs carrots peeled and trimmed (3/4 kg)
- olive oil
- salt
- cracked black pepper fresh
- 2 oranges zested and juiced (divided)
- 2 cloves garlic smashed
- 1 tbsp ground/minced ginger fresh
- 1/2 cup ginger ale / ginger beer
- 1/4 cup hazelnuts toasted
- 1/4 cup parsley chopped/divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F (205 C)
- In medium bowl, toss prepped carrots with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper
- Zest and juice orange (savign half of each for later), mince garlic and ginger (keeping half of ginger for later) and mix with carrots to coat
- Heat oven safe pan over medium heat, add carrots and cook until starting to brown.
- Add ginger ale, and mix to gather all the spices and juice together.
- transfer carrots to oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
- While cooking, mix remaining juice, zest, and ginger together. Add hazelnuts and parsely.
- Sprinkle over carrots before serving.Enjoy!
