Last Week’s Links

I’ve been off grid for the majority of the past week and will continue to be for the next, so I apologize for a delay getting to all the posts contributed last week (and this one upcoming). Week 82 had 7 scrumptious posts, with a Depraved Orgasm, a Panoramic View, and some Neon tights. We also got Jiggy with a Sex Machine, Broke a Russian Bride’s Wedding, and did some Chores. You can read all those Mmm’s and more here.

Mmm Makers

We’re mid-summer here in the Northern Hemisphere and most of us are making the best of the good weather, of which we know is in short supply. With that being said, Mmm Makers is taking a hiatus until the fall. Until then, read all these highlight posts from our current Mmm Maker spotlights.

Week 83 Recommended Read

This Is My Real Name: A Stripper’s Memoir by Cid V. Brunet

The first thing that pulled me in about this book was the title, then the cover. It’s bold, as is this inside look into the world of sex work, and all the ups and downs that come with such a lucrative and misperceived line of work.

This story, made up of chronological diary entries, follows Michelle as she goes from newbie to pro, good girl to bad, and learns that the night life can be both deeply toxic and holistically satisfying. A must read for anyone who believes in varying degrees of “sexwork” or those who just want an enlightening afternoon. Please note this book mentions many issues that could be triggering to almost anyone, and I think that’s the best reason to read it.

Week 83 Recipe

Campfire S’mores

S’mores are a camping favourite. No matter how far off the beaten path I find myself, a bag of marshmallows, some graham crackers and a bar of chocolate always seem to join me.

You can make s’mores anywhere-even in the microwave, but I personally think nothing tastes better than a melted marshmallow, browned over a toasty fire. They’re so good, you’ll want (s’more).

Keyword: camp, camping, marshmallows

Equipment

  • campfire building materials
  • marshmallow roasting sticks

Ingredients

  • 16 honey graham crackers
  • 8 marshmallows
  • 8 pieces chocolate 1 bar or more as wanted

Instructions

  • Build a campfire and allow coals to form.
  • Place 1 piece of chocolate on 8 of the graham crackers.
  • Place marshmallow on stick and roast over fire by turning, until marshmallow is golden brown.
  • Place browned marshmallow on graham cracker with chocolate and top with remaining crackers, forming a sandwich with each one.
  • Allow chocolate to melt for a minute.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

With a cast iron skillet, you can simply throw everything into the center and melt it all together, using extra crackers to dip into the goodness.
