Being one of few Male sex bloggers, Kristan X gives a fresh perspective in every post, story or how-to guide. He writes a variety of erotic genres, all of which are unique but mentally stimulating. I have yet to read something that hasn’t stuck with me, at least for a short while. I highly recommend his work to all erotica lovers.

Kristan X is a writer and artist based in Edinburgh. He owns and edits Lascivity, a curated collection of kink resources and dirty stories. He identifies as a natural sadist, but enjoys experimenting with almost any kink or fetish. Of course, that just made me want to know more. So, I asked Kristan X some questions. This is what he had to say:
What is your astrological sign?

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer – so things worked out pretty well, in the end.
When did you first start writing?
I’ve written for as long as I can remember, and started writing smut pretty early on. It was a fun way to explore and learn about myself and my kinks… even before I had the means to explore them for real.
What led to the idea of your blog/site/niche/etc.?
A general frustration with the tone and lack of specificity in existing online kink texts. Human sexuality is endlessly interesting, and it deserves a considered look.
What are you most proud of accomplishing? Either in blogging or in general? Why?

What is one book everyone should read?
If I can, I’d love to recommend the entire works of Nicholson Baker. He writes about sex with such a precise and interested attention to detail. His books are slow and considered, full of digressions… but they make you really think about the way you look at things.
A song that means something to you. Feel free to share why. Alternatively tell us about your favourite song of all time.
“Velvet Elvis” by Alex Winston. It’s not hugely meaningful to me, as I don’t tend to find a great deal of meaning in music… but it’s a beautiful song. The vocals alone are just wonderfully arresting.
If they made a movie about you, who do you think would play you?
I hope they don’t make a movie about me!
What quote defines the way you live your life?
I’ve found a huge amount of value in stoicism, and so if I had to pick a quote to live by it would be something from Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations. Though he’s long dead, his words so often resonate with me. Here’s one that I like:
Whenever you are about to find fault with someone, ask yourself the following question: What fault of mine most nearly resembles the one I am about to criticize?
