This week’s Prompt is Taking a Chance. Read the entire post here.

Our tales for this week were:

Dirty Sheets – Part 1 by MrsK. A smutty tale of sexting gone right.

Posy Churchgate shared her version of self-care in Getty Scrappy and Loving It.

We got lost in France in Provence II by Kate Granger. A slow burn romance, placed in another realm.

Marsha Adams delighted us with In Living Colour, an erotic romance. With equal parts of both, it’s 100% delicious.

In Scratching an Itch, MrsK walks us through a sexual fantasy.

And to finish the Week, Posy shared Why does Red Scream Sexy?, an investigation into why red makes our motors run.

Book of the Month

Gallant by VE Schwab

This book has been all sorts of fun. There’s adventure, mystery, horror and a tiny bit of a love story, all in one. Even though it has been labeled a YS book, it has been a wonderful read all the same. With vivid detail and enticing use of language, Gallant is the perfect example of show don’t tell.

Week 113 Recipe

For those, like me who enjoy a good scoop of raw cookie dough but have been told the eggs and now the flour is not good for you, here is the solution. Great in ice cream too!

Edible Cookie Dough

Edible, egg-free cookie dough – for your inner child
Course: cookies, fun
Cuisine: American
Keyword: cookies, egg-free

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • *To heat-treat your flour so it is safe to use: Place flour in a microwave-safe dish and cook for 1 minute and 15 seconds, stirring it every 15 seconds. Set aside.
  • Beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl until creamy. Beat in vanilla extract and salt. Add heat-treated flour; mix until a crumbly dough forms. Stir in milk until dough is just combined; fold in milk chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.
