Week 45

Welcome to Week 45 of Mmm Mondays, where we turn Mondays woes into Monday whoas!

Last week provided 14 delicious posts with porn for two, a blinding peak of passion, and a sex bomb. It also granted us some high flying, a moment in time, and a morning muffin. You can read all those Mmm’s and more, here.

Mmm Mondays is a weekly meme designed to make you say Mmm. Open from Friday at noon MDT until Tuesday at 6pm, you’ll have 4 days to share what makes your mouth water whether it’s sexy, silly or satisfying. Maybe it’s all three!

Rules for Mmm Mondays as well as the badge can be found here. Posts can be added below using the linky tool. Using #mmmMondays on social media will help others find your Mmm’s too.

Don’t have a blog, but have something to share? Great! Send me (MrsK) a message at lifeofakinkywife@gmail.com, via twitter, or using the on-site submission form. We’re happy to accept posts from other blogging platforms as well, such as Medium, Tumblr and Fetlife (not all readers will be able to access them, but MrsK is a member of all three). The more the merrier!

While you’re here, please take a minute to read one or more other posts and hit the like button or leave a comment if they make you say Mmm too. Sharing is always encouraged and for any posts you may have missed, watch for them on Mondays when I share them via twitter. Don’t forget to follow Mmm Mondays, so you never miss a post!

Week 45 Recipe

Bare Baklava

Week 45 recipe - Bare Baklava

Mister K’s family originates from the Mediterranean and we love baklava, but it takes so long to make. This is a bare-bones version, with all the flavour but half the work.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g or 4 cups) chopped nuts- I use pistachio and walnut, but almonds, hazelnuts or pecans would all work fine
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for more authentic taste, add 1/2 tsp ground cloves)
  • 1 pkg phyllo dough (16 oz, 14×9 in sheets) thawed
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup liquid honey

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F (180C)
  • spray 13×9 baking pan with cooking spray (a light oil works best)
  • combine nuts with sugar and cinnamon
  • Unroll phyllo. Layer two sheets of phyllo in pan (cover remainder of sheets with towel to prevent drying), brush with butter then add a 1/4 of nut mixture, and drizzle with 1/4 cup honey
  • repeat above step until 4 layers or 8 sheets of phyllo have been used.
  • Top with remaining phyllo sheets, and brush with remaining butter
  • cut into 24 squares with sharp knife (if it’s not sharp, it will tear and make a big mess); you can cut each square into half diagonally if desired but I don’t because I always eat two anyway 🙂
  • Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
  • cool on wire rack 1 hour
  • Enjoy!
