If you’re not on Santa’s naughty list yet, remember, there’s still time.

This header image was actually used last year for a story on Tantalizing Tales by Asrai named – Under the Mistletoe. It’s a super-hot tale, that you should definitely go read.

As you can see, I’ve stuck to the Christmas theme this month. And why not? It is a time of good cheer. Whether due to the festivities, or the alcoholic content of your drink, is up to you.

No matter your preferences, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Seasons’ Greetings to you and yours from Mmm Mondays!

Last Week’s Links

Last Week had 7 delicious submissions.

Marie (bless her and her consistency!) gave us 2 posts beginning with Passion in the Eye of the Storm, where Francoise takes shelter, and finds love.

In Their Annual Meeting of Lust, Caro and Reese remind us that while leaving is such sweet sorrow, there’s always next year.

Next, May shared the third installment of a Kink Mas Carol staring Ebony Scrooge, who gets a visit from her ghosts of Kink mas past.

Snake and Charmer took some time out at an Irish Pub, in the place where dreams come true.

David delighted us Under the Christmas Tree. Make sure you read to the end, you’ll not be disappointed!

F. Dot Leonora got Fully Decorated – in the best way!

And Kristan X finished us off with Signs of distress, which wasn’t the least bit distressing, but very much exciting!

You can read all those Mmm’s and more here.

Mmm Makers

This category will return next month (Mmm Makers permitting). This year we’ve had 9 creators of all things delicious. You can find all of them here.

Week 104 Recipe

If you’re wondering about the name, just try it. Made with simple ingredients you likely have on hand, this simple recipe will have you coming back for more, and more, and more….

Christmas Crack

an easy Christmas candy that’s always a hit! It’s the perfect combination of crunchy, salty and sweet.
Prep Time8 minutes
Cook Time7 minutes
Total Time15 minutes
Course: christmas, Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: celebration, christmas, easy prep, holiday, oven, pantry, party, quick and easy
Servings: 1

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • medium bowl for melting chocolate
  • small sauce-pan for making toffee
  • rubber spatulas

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers aprox. 40 crackers
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 12 ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips

Toppings

  • ¼ cup red and green M&Ms
  • 1 Tablespoon toasted pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon sprinkles
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a 15.5 inch x 10.5 inch jelly roll baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  • Arrange saltines in prepared pan in a single layer, breaking or cutting them, if necessary, to fill all spaces.
  • Combine butter and brown sugar in small saucepan over medium heat, and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Cook until thick and syrupy, about 3 minutes.
  • Pour toffee mixture over Saltines and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven until bubbly, 4 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over toffee layer. Set pan aside until chocolate has melted, then spread evenly over the top. Sprinkle with desired toppings. We wrote the recipe for four different toppings, if you want one over the entire recipe you’ll have to adjust the topping amount.
  • Refrigerate until chocolate is firm. Cut or break into pieces. We got about 35 pieces.
  • Store in airtight container in the fridge for one week or the freezer for 3 months. Refrigeration is not necessary, but helps to keep them fresh.

Notes

Christmas crack will store best in an airtight container. Refrigeration isn’t necessary, but it will last for about a week if you do decide to keep it in the fridge
